People with poor time/feel don’t really listen to the band; they listen to themselves. I don’t remember where the saying came from, but I’ve heard it said that you should have one ear for yourself and the other for the rest of the band. People with great time/feel listen to the entire group, can isolate individual parts when they have to, and adjust/anchor as needed.

People with poor sense of time/feel have come to a place where they somehow believe, or have been led to believe, that the drummer is the sole responsibility for time. Ev-er-ee-one.
